Second day of Diwali or Chotti Diwali

The day after Dhanteras, referred as second day in the festival of Diwali or Chotti Diwali is derived from the story of Dhanteras, as its also known as Naraka Chaturdashi or  as ‘Yamadeepdaan’ as the ladies of the house light earthen lamps or ‘deep’ and these are kept burning throughout the night glorifying Yama, the God of Death.

Kali Chaudas is worshipped for Mahakali or Shakti and is believed that on this day Kali killed the most wicked Narakasura, it also has a very important significance and is referred as a day to abolish laziness and evil which create hell in our life and shine light on life.
